A complete offer of employment: job, start date, probation, hours, notice and leave, a pay table with basic, housing and transport, and the PAYE, pension and NHF wording. Ends with a signed acceptance.
Leave policy
Annual, sick, maternity, paternity, compassionate, study and unpaid leave, with the minimums under the Labour Act noted beside your own figures. How leave is earned, asked for, carried over and paid when someone leaves.
Employee handbook
Eleven sections with starter text: working hours and attendance, pay and benefits, leave, conduct, health and safety, data protection under the NDPA, discipline and grievances, leaving, and a signed acknowledgement.
Onboarding checklist
Twenty-two tasks from before the first day to the end of probation, each with an owner: documents, pension and bank details, equipment and accounts, safety induction and PPE, payroll, and the probation review.
